Power to Prosper:
A bold national
movement to
end poverty and
inequality in the UK
Power to Prosper is a national programme tackling the root causes of poverty, inequality and debt – by shifting power to the people and communities most impacted.
We’re building a movement led by grassroots organisations and people with lived experience. Our work connects local action with national change – through community organising, research, storytelling and campaigning.
This isn’t about fixing symptoms. It’s about confronting systems and creating an economy that works for everyone.Â
By centering impacted communities – particularly people of colour, single parents, and those with disabilities…
We aim to:
Build collective power through grassroots organising
Challenge harmful myths about poverty and debt
Influence policy at local and national levels
Shift power and resources directly to communities doing the work
Power to Prosper is not just a project - it's a movement for justice. We are radically committed to dismantling unjust systems and creating an economy that works for everyone.

Each hub is led by local organisations with deep connections to their community—and they’re building power from the ground up.
